Bar Watershed, Akasaka

I loved grape juice, soda, and grape candy as a kid. As an adult I kind of left them behind because they were too sweet. Then, one day, I discovered that adding some booze fixed that problem.
Now finally Bar Watershed I get to enjoy this “Purple Nagano” cocktail and I get to feel like a kid again only with a little buzz. Amazing cocktails/wines/whiskeys, cozy ambiance and friendly bartender/owner. Highly recommend this bar in Akasaka.

This classic bar nestled on the second floor of a building only 3 minutes by foot from Akasaka Station is now one of the most noteworthy bars in Tokyo. Its name was derived from WATERSHED, a winery the owner encountered while studying in Australia, which inspired him to enter the restaurant business. Original cocktails served in this urban, sophisticated environment reflect a new wind blowing in the bar industry. Mixed cocktails of seasonal fruit, vegetables, herbs and other ingredients are especially popular. Definitely try their cocktails featuring rare Japanese whiskeys and sake. The service charge is 1,000 yen per person.
