Buvette, Tokyo

TOKYO : Sunday Brunch at Buvette

Sundays are for late starts, mostly, but when you have little one who is an early riser make sure you get to BUVETTE on your list located in Tokyo Hibiya Midtown for a perfect Sunday Brunch!!

French acquired character, buzzing vibes, and romantic indoors give this place an extra kick….apart from their delicious bites! Established in the early 2011, Buvette is a miniaturized version of a true Parisian cafe: easygoing but with the right sense of formality.

Cute outdoor patio

The menu is indeed French with some deliberate detours to Italy, as you’ll quickly notice the thinly sliced prosciutto constantly being cut right in front of you by the chef at the bar.

The menu keeps changing but if you happen to find the AVOCADO toast, then order right up!!! For more simple options, keep it up to CR’Q Monsieur (classic ham and gruyere) …Its soooooo good!!!  AND…Don’t forget to try their Waffles – they are suppose to be the best!

SALAD DE POULET

Part restaurant, part bar, part cafe, Buvette combines the elegance of an old world cafe with the usual nature of a neighborhood eatery. Its a light filed space for an early morning expresso or a long lunch of shared dishes, or to catch up with friends over  a glass of wine and enjoy some finger food – baguette, cheese and sausage platters that are simple yet refined. The wine selection is perfectly curated to give you a vast choice from many of the French regions.

The ambiance can be casual or rather chic depending – it has less to do with the decor that is minimalist yet warm with the wall of wine bottles quirky display for you to make a selection.

Its a small space so you’ll certainly feel intimate and relaxed if you’re looking for a calm (or even romantic night out)

Verdict :- Overall, great location, friendly service – perfect brunch spot but I would also add I feel its a bit overpriced for the quantity of food you’re getting!
