So after an intense work out at Orange theory, I was stumbling upon where to go for lunch and where I can find something healthy and that’s satisfying on my tummy..
This place Frijoles is a little off the mainstreet but not too far from the subway station or Roppongi Hills. The menu at Frijoles is very simple: you can have your burrito wrapped in a tortilla or dumped naked in a bowl. The other menu that you can find at Frijoles is the Fajita burito, tacos, salad and quesadillas
Ordering food at Frijoles is not difficult at all, as when you reach the counter the staff will ask you what would you like to have (burrito, burrito bowl, tacos or salad) followed by which meat ( chicken, carnitas, pork, steak or vegetarian). After choosing those options, you will shuffle along the counter to choose the rest of the free toppings that you want inside your burrito.
Frijoles has four types of salsa with different level of spiciness, and i usually ask for the spiciest one. I have tried all the meats that Frijoles offers, and my favourite ones are carnitas and steak. The other thing I like about Frijoles is that, they offer two different sizes of burrito and salad : regular and grande. The regular size is big enough to fill up your empty belly, so I suggest you get the grande size only when you are extremely and desperately hungry.
Pretty good, moderately priced, basic menu with veggie/vegan options.
Granted this is not a fancy sit down dining establishment but excellent place to pick a great meal at a good price. The staff is very friendly and speaks good English!! They are located in Roppongi, Azabujuban and Shiodome. Also they offer takeaway and Uber Eats. If you fancy a break from Japanese food, then this is a sure bet.
