Kushinobo is a upscale chain ‘Kushiyage’ restaurant located on the 5th floor of Roppongi Hills.
They recently refurbished the restaurant about a year ago and now has an elegant modern Japanese atmosphere, good food and excellent service.
This chain of tasty creativity on a stick should be your lunch or dinner bucket list. You can choose a set course, say 8 or 10 fried skewers (mix meat, fish and vegetables), plus great miso soup, rice and a small bowl of raw veggies to crunch on. You also get different sauces, pickles and extras.
The skewers can be something familiar like a fried shrimp, mushroom, chicken, scallops, potato, Konyaku, pork /onion combo. My favorite one is definitely the Asparagus wrapped in bacon.
What is Kushiyage??
Kushikatsu is also known as Kushiage, is a Japanese dish of deep-fried skewered meat and vegetables. Kushikatsu can be made with chicken, pork, seafood and seasonal vegetables. These are skewered bamboo kushi, dipped in egg, flour and panko (bread crumbs) and deep fried in vegetable oil. They may be served straight or with Tonkatsu sauce.
