I can’t believe I am going to share this secret sushi restaurant (introduced by my hubby) on my blog.
I think I visited this sushi place 5 years ago and since then I’ve been going to this place religiously every year at least twice.
If you love the aesthetic of Japanese ‘Edo-style’. Sushi Asaba is a tiny and cozy restaurant with counter seats in Nishi-azabu.
Mr. Naoya Hanawa, the master, trained at sushi restaurants in Ebisu and Nishiazabu, also has experience in England.
He specializes in maturing or curing sushi ingredients. The master’s technique to bring out the maximum flavor by adjusting the timing depending on the condition and the fat of the fish is in the top rank among the young sushi artisans.
The attention to detail is amazing. Every piece of sushi finishes with a beautiful touch, paired with wonderful sake makes it perfect!
He’s got the best selection of sake 🍶 in the world.
The sushi chef is not only making sushi but providing an art show, running the whole show by himself. Totally stunning!!!
There is no menu and you have to book it several months in advance. If you have any allergies, you can tell him in advance when you make a reservation. The course is about 20000-25000¥ per person (250$) with alcohol 🍷
