I went to Crossfit this morning and sweated my bum off just so I can eat more burgers from The Counter Burger located inside Tokyo Midtown.
I think what makes this place especially fun is the menu and how you order your own special burger. They have tons of options.. You get a choice of bread, cheese and so so many extras.
Honestly, I wouldn’t say their burgers are best in town, but they’re definitely satisfying and like the US locations, they have lots of toppings to choose from in order to customise your burger. Most expats living in Japan know that it can be challenging to find a burger joint – or any other eatery for that matter – that will have several types of cheeses and dipping sauces to choose from. Some overseas eateries make you pay if you want any cheese at all!! Ahem, Subway!!!
Service is good and the place looks nice and posh. Surprisingly, they have lots of vegetarian/vegan options. Options for salad rather than bun for those on low-carb diets.
They have an English menu and ordering sheet, and some of the staff speaks english which is always a bonus.
My favorite is ‘The Counter Burger’ (100% angus beef, tomatoes, lettuce blend, fried onion strings, sautéed mushrooms, garlic aioli and broiche bun)
I recommend this place if you’re looking for good comfort food in Midtown/Roppongi.
