Tim Ho Wan, Hibiya

Tim Ho Wan opened recently in Tokyo. It’s a Michelin-starred Dim Sum Restaurant from Hong Kong. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Tokyo Station or close to Hibiya Station. It’s right outside the new Tokyo Midtown Hibiya mall.

This place is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!
Their dumplings skin is thin and their inside filling is so flavorful.

All of their Dim-sums are excellent but one thing that really stands out is their char-siu.

Char-siu (pork buns)

The char-siu (pork bun) is so so good… The meat is amazingly flavored and the bun is so soft.

Honestly, one of the best dim-sum restaurant that I’ve ever been to. ( I’m not kidding)
Since it has photos, the menu is easy to understand.


RestaurantWith each item running around ¥500, it certainly is cheap for a Michelin !

When you’re seated, hot Pu’er tea is placed on the table.

While the line outside never disappears, it gets a little shorter around 2:00 or 3:00 pm. I’d recommend going as early as 10:15 am so you can get in as soon as it opens at 11 am (I hate waiting in line )
At lunchtime, you might have to wait over an hour but its soooo worth it!!!

Here are the highlights of the dishes we tried at Tim Ho Wan! I think we pretty much ordered everything on the menu.

Deep Fried Eggplant with shrimp
Steamed rice roll with Shrimp and Chinese chives
Steamed Vegetable dumplings
Pork dumplings in spicy sauce (Wontons)
