Yakiniku Jumbo Hanare located in Shirokane is till date my favorite Yakiniku place in Tokyo. My comfort zone. I always enter with an empty tummy and leave with a smile on my face.
Note: It is essential that you book way in advance when planning a visit to Jumbo Hanare. The restaurant is located in a residential area and is relatively small with only few counter seats, tables and a private room that fits 6 people. If you are a true Yakiniku lover, then you can’t miss going to this restaurant. Also, when I have good friends or special guests visiting I like to bring them here. A fair number of staff speak English.
They serve different parts of meat I’ve never tried before, so we always have a really fun and delicious experience and get to enjoy new textures and flavors. The restaurant staff grills the meat for us with his special technique so that its extra tender and juicy. Every bite really brings tears of joy to my eyes.
Surprisingly, they have a good selection of wine since the owner of the restaurant is a wine lover. It’s definitely on the pricier side but worth it given the quality of the meat!
HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR DINNER AT JUMBO HANARE. WE OPTED FOR ALACARTE.
One of my favorite dishes at the JUMBO HANARE is the Noharayaki. A thin slice of quality sirloin beef grilled and then dipped in raw egg.
That was the end of our beautiful Yakiniku dinner. WE can’t wait to go back!!!
